THE APOCALYPSE
Long ago, the earth was one—one land, one people, one language and one mind. They lived in peace and harmony, growing in both number and knowledge. Wisdom flourished among them, and their hunger for understanding knew no bounds.
Mastering time and seasons was only a fraction of their achievements. With their discoveries, they extended their lives to nearly a thousand years. Every herb that could cure illnesses, every spice that could restore youth and strength and every secret of power lay at their fingertips.
Their knowledge gave birth to wonders beyond imagination. They built technologies that defied nature, raised structures that reached the very heavens and uncovered mysteries that reshaped the world itself. But with great wisdom came great pride.
They were no longer content with the order the Father of spirits had established. They delved into sorcery, twisting creation to suit their desires. They bent the natural laws, manipulating life itself. And in their arrogance, they believed there was nothing beyond their reach.
In time, they sought to build a temple that would rival the tabernacle of the Father of spirits; a place where they could stand as His equal and speak to Him as one of their own.
However, He honored their invitation sooner than they expected. He descended upon them, not to meet, but to divide. He confused their tongues, shattered their unity, broke their land beneath their feet, and turned their minds against one another. They lost not only their knowledge but even their very identity.
Yet among them was a man who had not succumbed to their pride. He had kept himself apart from their corruption, staying loyal to the Father of spirits when others abandoned Him. And on the day of destruction, he was hidden.
Seeing the dangers of their unguided quest for knowledge, he set fire to their great vault of secrets; the place where they stored all their knowledge. He watched as the flames consumed centuries of sorcery and pride, ensuring it would never plague mankind again. But he preserved the books and scrolls that honored the Father of spirits, hiding them in the land where he was shown.
In this sacred place, he and his wife began anew, building a home and birthing a new people. He taught them the knowledge and wonders of the Father of spirits.
Soon, generations passed, his encounters and knowledge had become mere myths and traditions, stories and customs laid down by their progenitor holding no real power.
This man, was Sion.
